As a common engine, small diesel engines are used in many places. Some small businesses need to use diesel engines for a long time, while others need to use diesel engines on a regular basis. Here are a few things we need to know when saving them:
1. Choose a good place to save it. When farmers keep small diesel engines, most of them do not consider the natural weather conditions, do not pay attention to the wind direction, and do not consider the drainage of the construction site, but deliberately put the small diesel engine under the eaves. However, due to the long-term dripping of the eaves, the ground under the eaves is dented, which is not conducive to drainage, and it is easy to make the small diesel engine damp and rusty.
2. We should take measures such as wind, rain, etc. If the diesel engine is stored in the open air, dust or rain can easily enter the small diesel engine through the air filter, exhaust pipe, etc.
3. When not in use for a long time, the machine should be sealed. The sealing method for small diesel engines is as follows.
(1) Drain engine oil, diesel and cooling water.
(2) Clean and install the crankcase and timing gearbox with diesel.
(3) Maintain the air filter as needed.
(4) Lubricate all moving surfaces. Take care to dehydrate the clean engine oil (boil the oil until the foam disappears completely), pour into the oil pan after cooling, and then turn the crankshaft for 2~3 minutes.
(5) Sealed combustion chamber. The dehydrated 0.3 kg cleaning oil is injected into the cylinder from the intake pipe, and the flywheel rotates more than 10 times under decompression, so that the intake and exhaust valves, pistons, cylinders and piston rings are lubricated, and the piston reaches the top dead center to close the intake and exhaust valves. Once the seals are sealed, install the air filter.
(6) Drain the remaining oil from the oil pan.
(7) Scrub the exterior of the diesel engine and apply anti-rust oil to the surface of the unpainted parts.
(8) Wrap the air filter and silencer with moisture-proof material to protect it from rain and dust.
