Diesel engines inject diesel into high-pressure and high-temperature cylinders and use compression and self-ignition to drive piston movement.
3. Diesel engines usually have higher compression ratios, which means they are able to produce greater power output within the same volume. This is one reason why diesel engines are more common in applications that require higher torque and durability, such as trucks, large SUVs and marine vessels.
4. Diesel engines are generally more durable than gasoline engines, with longer life and higher fuel efficiency. However, gasoline engines are generally more responsive and dynamic at low and high speeds.
